OTRII Scholars

During the On the Run II Tour, BeyGOOD, in partnership with the Shawn Carter Foundation, launched a scholarship program awarding over $1 million to support college-bound students. The program provided $100,000 scholarships to eleven exceptional high school seniors for the 2018-2019 academic year. Each award was structured to support recipients throughout the duration of their enrollment. Recipients were selected by the Boys & Girls Club of America based on academic excellence and demonstrated financial need. OTRII Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Karissa Jackson

“Receiving this scholarship from The Carters, Mrs. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Mr. Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, through the BeyGOOD and Shawn Carter Foundations lifted a major financial burden. It allowed me to focus entirely on my education and community work without the constant weight of financial stress. I was able to purchase essential materials for school and reduce my reliance on student loans. But more than that, this scholarship reminded me that I am not alone in my mission to create positive change," Jackson said.
