Cheryl D. Creuzot is a skilled board director, former CEO, and entrepreneur, with a proven record of success in business growth and transformation. She has developed game-changing strategies and new models in financial services, banking, as well as food manufacturing, distribution, and franchising. 

As a collaborative leader, Cheryl is known for her innovative problem-solving capabilities and her performance-driven style. She has applied these skills as an entrepreneur in her former SEC- and FINRA-regulated firms, as well as the numerous private, governmental, and public boards she has served on. 

Currently, Cheryl serves on the board of Bancorp (TBBK – NASDAQ) and is Chair of Nominating and Governance, and a member of the Audit and Succession Committees. She also serves on the board of Valic Funds, an affiliate of Corebridge Financial Inc. (NYSE – CRBG), where she is a member of Audit, Governance, Brokerage, Compliance, and Ethics Committees. She chairs the Compliance Committee.  Cheryl also serves as Vice Chair of The Frenchy’s Companies, MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors President’s Executive Counsel, and the BEYGood Foundation, where she serves on the Finance and Investment Committee. Cheryl’s most notable former board service includes being the first female African American Commissioner of the Port of Houston, Unity National Bank, Amegy Bank, and the Texas Public Finance Authority. 

Cheryl is a four-time alumna of the University of Houston, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Technology, Doctor of Jurisprudence, Master of Laws in Taxation, and Master of Business Administration. She is a Certified Financial Planner and has a Group 1 license, and Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses. Cheryl and her husband, Percy, are proud of their three children and the five additional children they helped raise.
