Cheryl D. Alston

Interim Executive Director

Cheryl D. Alston serves as Interim Executive Director of BeyGOOD Foundation and is the former Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Employees' Retirement Fund of the City of Dallas (ERF), a $4.0 billion pension plan for the city's civilian employees.

With over 25 years of financial services expertise, Cherylhas held executive roles at CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services and Chase Global Services, where she provided investment banking services to Fortune 500 clients as a Corporate Banking Officer.

Cheryl is an independent director on the boards of Globe Life Inc. (NYSE: GL), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City, and the Janus Henderson mutual fund board. She previously served as an independent director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (2016–2021) and received a Presidential Appointment to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) Advisory Committee, serving two terms from 2011 to 2016.

Her leadership has earned widespread recognition. She was named one of the most influential corporate directors by Women Inc. and Savoy magazines, received the NAIC Hall of Fame and Elite Chief Investment Officer awards in 2025, and the Power 100 award in 2026. In 2024, Institutional Investor named her Visionary of the Year. She has also been recognized by D CEO Magazine Power 500, Dallas Power 50, and received the NASP Pacesetter Award.

Cheryl is deeply committed to her community, serving on nonprofit boards including CHRISTUS Health, The Arts Community Alliance (TACA), and the Dallas Mavericks Advisory Committee. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and Women Corporate Directors (WCD).

Cheryl holds an M.B.A. in Finance from NYU's Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
