Janna L. Perry, J.D.
Board Liaison
Janna Perry is a lawyer, humanitarian, and advocate committed to driving meaningful social change. A proud graduate of Spelman College, the nation's top HBCU, Janna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science before obtaining her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University Law School. Janna also holds a certificate in DEI Strategy and Planning.
While at Spelman, Janna was honored to serve as Miss Spelman College 2017-2018 and was nationally recognized in EBONY Magazine as a Top 10 HBCU Campus Queen. Janna's passion for social impact and youth empowerment—particularly for women and girls of color—has guided her career across diverse industries, including government, nonprofits, and entertainment. She has held pivotal roles at organizations such as the New York State Democratic Party, The Walt Disney Company, and Girls Inc.
A dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Janna continues to champion initiatives that uplift the community and inspire those in need. With a deep commitment to social justice and corporate responsibility, Janna has served as an advocate for at-risk students, women who are survivors of sex trafficking, and those impacted by the criminal legal system.
In 2014, Janna was the Grand Prize Winner of Mrs. Carter’s “I Rise” Contest and is honored to bring her leadership and expertise to BeyGOOD. Outside of work, Janna loves listening to music, attending live shows and performances, and indulging in television and film. Janna is an avid traveler and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
