Our Founder, Mrs. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, has a long-standing history of supporting those in need. For decades, she has supported causes pertaining to disaster relief, mental health, housing, education, career development, gender equality, and more. Through dynamic partnerships, BeyGOOD is equipped to support people and programs around the world through philanthropic giving for the next 30 years and beyond.

1997
Knowles-Rowland Center for Youth
Knowles-Rowland Center for Youth was established at Bread of Life, Inc., funded by Destiny’s Child’s first single and named after Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland. It evolved from a teen resource center into a shelter (serving 175–200 individuals) and later became a disaster relief hub.

46664 AIDS Benefit Concert
Mrs. Knowles-Carter performed at the 46664 Benefit Concert in Cape Town supporting Nelson Mandela’s AIDS foundation, visited the Baphumelele Children’s Home to raise awareness of the AIDS epidemic, and later donated proceeds from The Verizon Ladies First Tour to further support the foundation.

Carousel of Hope Gala Performance
Mrs. Knowles-Carter attended and performed at the 16th Annual Carousel of Hope Gala, a biennial event raising funds for childhood diabetes research and care.

Beyoncé: Beyond the Red Carpet Auction
Mrs. Knowles-Carter, alongside Tina Knowles and House of Deréon, presented “Beyoncé: Beyond the Red Carpet,” auctioning 18–24 of her costumes to benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation in support of music education.

World Children’s Day Ambassador
Alongside Destiny’s Child, Mrs. Knowles-Carter served as a global ambassador for World Children’s Day, partnering with McDonald’s to support Ronald McDonald House Charities. The group released “Stand Up for Love” and headlined the Destiny Fulfilled… and Lovin’ It Tour to raise awareness and funds for children’s causes.

The Survivor Foundation
Mrs. Knowles-Carter, along with her parents, Mathew and Tina, and sisters Solange Knowles and Kelly Rowland established The Survivor Foundation, a family charity with the mission "Where There's A Will, We Help Make A Way.”

Fashion for Relief
To support Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, Mrs. Knowles-Carter walked in the “Fashion for Relief” show during Olympus Fashion Week, with proceeds benefiting affected communities.

Knowles-Temenos Place Apartments
Following Hurricane Katrina, Mrs. Knowles-Carter donated $2 million to build the Knowles-Temenos Place Apartments, a 42-unit housing complex for the unhoused.

The Beyoncé Experience Tour | Food Banks
Mrs. Knowles-Carter partnered with America’s Second Harvest and Rudy Rasmus of Bread of Life to organize food banks at every tour stop for communities affected by famine.

At the Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation Diamond Ball, Mrs. Knowles-Carter was inducted into the International Pediatric Hall of Fame, where she spent time with young patients and, most notably, shared the stage with piano prodigy Ethan Bortnick.

Stand Up 2 Cancer
Mrs. Knowles-Carter joined fellow female artists on “Just Stand Up,” a charity single supporting Stand Up To Cancer, and performed it during the televised fundraiser for accelerating groundbreaking cancer research.

Show Your Helping Hand
During the North American leg of the “I AM…World Tour”, Mrs. Knowles-Carter partnered with Feeding America and General Mills’ Hamburger Helper to launch the Show Your Helping Hand campaign, aiming to deliver 3.5M+ meals to local food banks nationwide; the initiative also raised $50K in support of hunger relief efforts.

Sprite Green Instrument Donation
Mrs. Knowles-Carter, Shawn Carter and LeBron James partnered with Sprite Green to donate $50,000 worth of musical instruments to Mesa Arts Academy in Mesa, Arizona.

Hope for Haiti Now Telethon
Mrs. Knowles-Carter participated in and performed during the Hope for Haiti telethon, which raised over $61 million for earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.

Phoenix House & The Beyoncé Cosmetology Center
Following the 2008 film Cadillac Records, Mrs. Knowles-Carter donated her entire salary to the Phoenix House, the drug and alcohol treatment center she visited while researching the film. Through the Phoenix House, the Beyoncé Cosmetology Center was established to provide job training programs for those recovering from addiction.

The students were dancing to "Move Your Body," which the singer recorded for the initiative. Middle School students from around the country were participating in the four-minute flash dance routine simultaneously 1:42 pm EST on May 3, 2011 in New York City.

Let's Move Campaign
In an effort to combat child obesity, Mrs. Knowles-Carter reworked “Get Me Bodied” into “Move Your Body” for Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign, with an instructional video adopted by hundreds of U.S. middle schools to promote physical activity.

UN World Humanitarian Day
Mrs. Knowles-Carter partnered with the United Nations for World Humanitarian Day, performing “I Was Here” at the UN General Assembly to promote global philanthropy and inspire a billion acts of service.

The Launch of BeyGOOD
Mrs. Knowles-Carter launched BeyGOOD, now a 501(c)(3) public charity, during the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour to inspire others to be kind, to be charitable, and to be good.

Chime for Change
Mrs. Knowles-Carter and Salma Hayek Pinault co-founded Chime for Change, a global campaign sponsored by Gucci to promote gender equality, focusing on education, health and justice for women and girls. The inaugural Sound of Change concert raised funds and awareness for women's empowerment.

#BeyGOODxSTATE GIVEBACKPACK
BeyGOOD partnered with STATE Bags to provide backpacks and school essentials to children in need across six cities ahead of the new school year.

I Rise For Campaign
To celebrate the launch of her fragrance, RISE, Mrs. Knowles-Carter introduced the RISE campaign, spotlighting inspiring women such as Misty Copeland, Chloe x Halle, Gabrielle Bernstein, and Taren Guy, while inviting fans to submit their own stories for a chance to win a signed bottle. After selecting the winner, she further supported their academic journey with a book scholarship and a new laptop.

Global Citizen Festival
Mrs. Knowles-Carter headlined the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park alongside the launch of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, helping drive millions of global actions and commitments impacting hundreds of millions of lives.

BeyGOOD for Haiti
Mrs. Knowles-Carter visited communities in Haiti during a BeyGOOD humanitarian mission, meeting with doctors and patients at Saint Damien Pediatric Hospital while partnering with the United Nations to provide food, water, and medical support for survivors of the 2010 earthquake.

Love on Louisiana
Mrs. Knowles-Carter alongside Tina Knowles, Solange Knowles, and Kelly Rowland partnered with Habitat for Humanity and Essence for "Love on Louisiana” raising $1M for Baton Rouge flood relief.

FORMATION Scholars Award
To mark the one-year anniversary of Lemonade, Mrs. Knowles-Carter launched the Formation Scholars Award, supporting women pursuing studies in the creative arts, music, literature, and African American studies at Parsons School of Design, Berklee College of Music, Howard University, and Spelman College.

BeyGOOD 4 BURUNDI
BeyGOOD partnered with UNICEF to launch BeyGOOD 4 BURUNDI, a multi-year partnership to provide safe water to the most vulnerable children in Burundi.

Hurricane Harvey Relief
In response to Hurricane Harvey, BeyGOOD supported long-term recovery efforts in Texas, partnering with Bread of Life and others to provide essential supplies including cleaning products, blankets, diapers, and feminine care items.

Mi Gente Hurricane Relief Donation
Mrs. Knowles-Carter joined J Balvin on a remix of “Mi Gente,” donating all proceeds to hurricane and earthquake relief efforts for Puerto Rico, Mexico, and other Caribbean regions, and directing fans to support the cause through her platform.

Homecoming Scholars
Following her historic Coachella performance, Mrs. Knowles-Carter launched the Homecoming Scholars Award, supporting students pursuing education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

BeyGOOD partnered with the Shawn Carter Foundation to launch the OTRII Scholarship, awarding scholarships to exceptional high school seniors across 11 cities.

BeyGOOD x Global Citizen South African Fellowship
BeyGOOD partnered with Global Citizen to launch the Global Citizen Fellowship in South Africa, a multi-year program equipping 50 young leaders with the skills to thrive in social impact careers.

One World: Together at Home
Amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, Mrs. Knowles-Carter participated in One World: Together at Home supporting frontline workers and the World Health Organization.

Covid-19 Testing
In response to COVID-19 pandemic, BeyGOOD provided free COVID-19 testing, household essentials and additional services to those in need in Houston.

Black Parade Directory
Following the global movement for social justice and in celebration of Juneteenth, Mrs. Knowles-Carter launched the Black Parade Route, a comprehensive directory of Black-owned businesses, with proceeds from the single supporting BeyGOOD’s Black Business Impact Fund.

Mrs. Knowles-Carter participated in YouTube’s Dear Class of 2020, delivering a commencement address honoring graduates, acknowledging the global protests following George Floyd’s death, and encouraging the new generation of graduates to be the change they want to see.

Furthering her commitment to HBCUs, Mrs. Knowles-Carter’s Ivy Park x Peloton partnership provided digital memberships to ten HBCUs, granting students access to Peloton’s full library of fitness classes via the app.

Following the launch of the ABOUT LOVE campaign starring The Carters, Tiffany & Co. announced the Tiffany & Co. About Love Scholarship program in partnership with BeyGOOD Foundation and the Shawn Carter Foundation to support students pursuing degrees in creative fields, history, and communications.

The Beyoncé Knowles-Carter x Lorraine Schwartz GIA Scholarship
World-renowned jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz partnered with Mrs. Knowles-Carter to select three professionals to award them full tuition and paid expenses for GIA’s (Gemological Institute of America) prestigious Graduate Gemologist program.

Bread of Life Water Distribution
Winter Storm Uri dumped record amounts of snow on Texas affecting millions of people. The Houston, Texas native partnered with adidas and the Houston-based charity, Bread of Life, providing monetary relief to those in need. Furthermore, BeyGOOD partnered with Trae tha Truth's Relief Gang to provide water and meals.

Florida Hurricane Relief
BeyGOOD partnered with adidas, Amazon, and Matthew 25: Ministries to host the BeyGOOD Hurricane Relief Supplies Distribution in Orlando, Florida, to aid the thousands impacted by the recent devastations. In addition, we returned with the support of adidas and the African American Chamber of Commerce to provide $5K grants to small businesses that sustained damages or were negatively impacted.

RENAISSANCE Scholars
Alongside Mrs. Knowles-Carter's announcement of her RENAISSANCE World Tour, BeyGOOD launched the RENAISSANCE Scholars Program, committing nearly $1 million in scholarships across 10 colleges and universities along the tour route.

Black Parade Route Luncheons
BeyGOOD launched the Black Parade Route: Small Business Impact Fund in 2023, awarding a total of $1 million in relief grants to more than 100 small businesses across 10 global markets. To announce the grant recipients in each city, BeyGOOD held Black Parade Route Small Business luncheons celebrating small business owners and entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities.

CÉCRED x BeyGOOD Fund
The Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund celebrates the influence professional stylists have on hair health and the critical importance of advocating for the salon community. In 2024 and 2025, we funded nearly $1 million for cosmetology school scholarships and salon business grants.

Black Equestrian Program
BeyGOOD partnered with the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo Foundation, the longest-running Black rodeo in the nation, to commit $400,000 in grants to create entrepreneurial sustainability.

Texas Southern University Marching Band Grant
BeyGOOD has awarded a gift of $100,000 to Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul Marching Band to support the band’s musical excellence and academic achievement. The grant follows the collaborative “Beyoncé Bowl” 2024 Christmas Day halftime performance during halftime. Over 200 members of the Ocean of Soul took the field with Mrs. Knowles-Carter during the now-iconic performance.
Eaton Fire survivor, Naomi Mauvais, receives $20,000 grant from BeyGOOD.

L.A. Fire Relief
As communities continue to recover from the Eaton Fire in Altadena and Pasadena, the BeyGOOD LA Fire Relief Fund initial pledge of $2.5 million has now distributed over $3 million in direct cash assistance to over 200 homeowners and renters, ensuring that resources reach those most in need.

Knowles-Rowland House
Mrs. Knowles-Carter and Kelly Rowland invested $8.4 million to develop Knowles-Rowland House, a 31-unit permanent housing project with supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness, built on the site of the original center. Set to open in 2026.
